Workshop June 25th…watercolour washes

An introduction to stretching paper for some people today. I think everyone enjoyed learning how to do it and now understand the benefits. Clearly we don’t want to go to “the trouble” for everything we paint but it is useful especially when working with very wet washes as we did today. Mostly we we just played with paint trying to judge the right drying time and thickness of paint when painting loose wet into wet washes. Here is a selection of work. The headland is Worm’s Head, Rhosili.
