A busy morning doing some preliminary work towards a painting of Carreg Cennen from one of my references photos.
We continued our work inspired by the artist Aubrey Phillips painting big skies and putting depth into our seascapes. Preliminary work was done on large sheets of cartridge paper and then we moved on to watercolour paper..
It’s spring! So we painted blossom. Working the flowers larger than life size and putting a lovely wet into wet wash around them before painting the petals.
