We continued our work inspired by the artist Aubrey Phillips painting big skies and putting depth into our seascapes. Preliminary work was done on large sheets of cartridge paper and then we moved on to watercolour paper..
This workshop we looked at different watercolour washes and ways of painting them.
Well everything came together pretty quickly
Not an easy subject today but everyone did brilliantly. We worked on an exercise from “The big book of watercolour painting”. We used a limited palette and painted a seascape with a breaking wave purely in watercolour…no masking and no body colour.
