Saturday painting class June 27th

Today we were looking at the difference between hard and soft edges when painting in watercolour and how to achieve a feeling of form using both methods.
We were working mainly wet onto dry and next class we shall look at some wet into wet techniques. Painting fruit and vegetables is a really good way to experiment with different ways of achieving “3D ness”. In class we used some references from Alwyn Crawshaw’s book ” You can  paint watercolour ” Homework is to paint an onion from life with help from that book.
