Early evening at Kenfig nature reserve

A lovely evening light and quite a few birds around- especially at a feeding table where a flock of sparrows were making quite a racket and looking so pretty perched on the black thorn blossom. There were tits and chiffchaff amongst them.

On the lake were – Great crested grebe, mallard, cormarants, gulls, coot, swan, canada geese, pochard, tufted duck (prob) , one bird with the tufted ducks that had a large white spot on its cheek ( ? golden eye – they were a fair way off and difficult for me to identify even with the scope. Also lots of sand martins- first I have seen this year.

Across the lake

Great view of Port Talbot from Kenfig
