Continuing our summer “Seaside” theme. We worked on loose wet into wet skies and grasses on sand dunes.
Not an easy subject today but everyone did brilliantly. We worked on an exercise from “The big book of watercolour painting”. We used a limited palette and painted a seascape with a breaking wave purely in watercolour…no masking and no body colour.
Today we worked in watercolour and experimented with textured wet into wet backgrounds….lovely results.
My turn to share our big central window at Origin shop and gallery in Carmarthen during May.
Last month we had a go at painting bridges and today did an exercise of mine with moving water and rocks.
Sometimes I work on small studies of a subject with a view to doing a larger painting.
