Another lovely ‘painting day’.

Many thanks to Veronica for hosting our painting/social day yesterday on the banks of the Towy at Nantgaredig.  It was such a lovely summers day and it really brought home how lucky we were to live in beautiful Carmarthenshire. I was at Veronicas many years ago…maybe fifteen before she lived there and did a painting of the bridge which I made into prints. It was really interesting to revisit the spot. The trees have grown to block most of that view now…this is not a complaint! As artists we were spoilt for choice along that stretch of the Towy.

My original painting done over fifteen years ago of Nantgaredig bridge.

We didn’t know what the name of this wildflower was. Anyone?

Girls will be girls….skimming stones.

A real work of art…You spoil us Veronica.

By the way these photos were all taken on my wonderful iPad….does a pretty good job!

  1. It was such a brilliant day…thank you Veronica for your hospitality. Love your ‘old’ painting of the bridge Wendy. Look forward to seeing an up-to-date version from you soon! Just looking back at your photographs makes me feel so grateful that I live in this beautiful county and have met such lovely people at your classes sharing our enjoyment together of art, nature and chatting!
